    Stop by the H2O office in B125 & pick up a membership form to take the first step towards having fun, meeting new people and making a difference in your community. H2O meetings and service opportunities will begin in September. The H2O office is open 4th – 9th periods and after school every day this week.

    Also, a couple reminders…LHS Open House, College and Career Fair is tonight, from 6:30 – 8:30pm, here at LHS.
    Picture day for freshmen, sophomores and juniors, is tomorrow during English classes in the Art Atrium…don’t forget to say cheese J

    Do you know stuff??? What is the chemical symbol for lead? Who wrote Crime and Punishment? Who was the Vice-President during Eisenhower’s second term of office? If you can answer some of these questions, then you might be a candidate for the Academic Challenge Team. Come to a meeting tomorrow after school in Room A-203. All are welcome. LHS wants to continue a strong tradition of outstanding Academic Challenge Teams.

    FYI regarding student parking…“Student permit parking is allowed only in the North Lot behind the mods and ONLY IN THE SPACES MARKED for STUDENTS.”

    Gamer’s Club meets on Fridays and will be starting NEXT Friday, September 2nd in Room B301.

    Do you like theater? Does building a set, sound fun to you? Would you like to make new friends at LHS? If you’ve said yes to any of these questions, Barnstormers Theater Club could be your answer. Wednesday, August 31st will be the first meeting. So come and see what it’s all about after school in room B208.

    Presale student tickets for home football games will be sold in the athletic office after school only. Student tickets are $4.00. Fall athletes that do not owe current or past pay to participate fees can stop by the athletic office to pick up their free entrance sticker that must be shown to get into the football game this Friday. If you do not have a sticker you must pay at the ticket gate.

    Interested in technology? Hyland Software is hosting a tech club this fall at their corporate headquarters in Westlake. It will be on Tuesday evenings from 5-7:30pm starting in late September.
    Interested students should fill out the on-line application at www.onbase.com
    Deadline is August 31st – space is limited so don’t put off completing the application.

    If you would still like a locker, Mrs. Calfee will be assigning lockers today and tomorrow during lunch periods.
