    There will be a Ski & Snowboard Club meeting today at 3:10 in MOD 17.  Please see Ms. Flynn in Mod 17 or Mr. Hille in A312 with any questions related to the club.

     

    Calling all aspiring playwrights!  Barnstormers Drama club will be performing a series of student-written one act plays this winter, and we want to hear your voice!  See Mr. Farinelli in Mod 23 if you would like to submit a short, 10-15 minute play!

     

    Attention Barnstormers! Set designers are needed to start working on set painting. Please meet in Ms. Sabin’s room in B208 afterschool today.

     

    It’s Spirit Week show your school spirit everyday by dressing for the theme of the day.

    Today is Way Back Day

    Thursday is Purple & Gold Day

    Friday is Wear Your Class Colors Day (freshmen-Red, sophomores-Blue -, juniors-Green, seniors-Purple & staff-White)

     

    The seniors are selling Homecoming T-shirts for $12 each during lunch periods all this week. Everyone should get one to commemorate this year’s HOMECOMING.

    Juniors and seniors are encouraged to meet with the College Representatives inside the new Guidance Department Room A111.  Military Representatives will be outside of the Main Hallway 1st floor / Lunch area. Students must obtain a pass from their classroom teacher if intending to visit during class.  A pass can also be written by the Guidance Secretary.

     

    The 2017 Fast-pitch Softball Season is fast approaching. All girls interested in playing softball this season can attend a short informational meeting on Wednesday October 5th at 3:15 pm in 107. We will cover open gyms/fields, spring trip, and winter ball. Contact Coach Moravcik Mo-rav-check) at [email protected] or text through last season’s remind for returning players.

     

    Seniors, please make sure to check Naviance for scholarship opportunities. An example is Cleveland Browns – Marion Motley Scholarship Program Deadline Oct. 1st for $10,000, another is for women, the Distinguished Young Women Scholarship which is due Oct. 21st.

     

    Attention all students! Beginning immediately, students may EXIT any door in the mods during class changes, but students will only be permitted to enter through Door A – please plan accordingly.

     

    Also, book bags will not be permitted at this Friday’s home football game or any other major LHS sporting events.  Please know that if you bring a book bag to the game Friday night, you will not be permitted into the game.  Please see an administrator if you have any questions.

     

    This is a reminder to students on the homecoming decorating committee, the art club students and the homecoming court…if you plan on attending the dance, you still need to bring in a signed ticket form to the bookroom.  Please get the signed forms to us no later than tomorrow after school…thanks.

     

    Model UN will be meeting tonight in Mod 11 at 5:45 pm.  Questions, see Dr. G.

     

    The Lakewood Civic Auditorium is looking for students to join our staff. If you have an interest in live performance from the backstage side of things and are at least 16 years old, please attend an informational meeting on Monday, October 3rd during lunch periods in The Civic lobby.  Enter through the front doors under Johnny Appleseed.

     

    This is a reminder to the students that have not turned in their homecoming ticket forms…you must turn them in no later than tomorrow after school, otherwise you will not be able to get into the dance.
