The Cleveland Browns have now fallen to an unimpressive 0-6 record following Sunday’s loss to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Brady, playing his first game back after his 4 game suspension that was a result of the “Deflate Gate”, a huge controversy in the NFL.

Brady looked good as ever after making light work of the Cleveland Browns’ defense while throwing the ball 40 times and completing 28 of his passes while totaling 406 yards and 3 touchdowns. The game started off with a quick touchdown drive from the Patriots capped off with a LeGarrette Blount 1 yard touchdown run. The Browns did quickly answer back with a 4 minute drive that ended with a touchdown pass from rookie QB Cody Kessler to veteran WR Andrew Hawkins to knot the score up to 7-7. After that it was all New England with Tom Brady throwing a TD on the next possession to TE Martellus Bennett.

The Browns then began to crash and burn as QB Cody Kessler was hit and fumbled out of the end zone for a safety to make the score 16-7. On this play, Kessler was injured giving the Browns their 3rd injured QB in 5 weeks. Charlie Whitehurst, who was signed when Josh McCown went down with his shoulder injury, came into take control of the offense for the injured rookie Cody Kessler. While the Browns’ offense disappeared, the Patriots came alive and started pouring on the points. Later in the game the Browns’ saw another QB go down. Charlie Whitehurst went down with an appearent knee injury late and game. The quarterback turned wide receiver Terelle Pryor, took over as QB for the final minutes of the game.

As of right now the quarterback situation is once again the big question for the Browns. There is no telling so far who will be ready to for Sunday, if will be rookie Cody Kessler or 37 year old veteran Josh McCown. Kessler does have a good chance to start, but Josh McCown should be healed up for Sunday’s clash against the Tennessese Titans (2-3) who are coming off a 30-17 win against the Miami Dolphins. The Browns could use a little of this Cleveland “magic” to get the first win of the season.
