    The bookroom will be taking orders for the Pink Out shirts thru tomorrow. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. Come to the bookroom to place an order for your Pink Out shirt before time runs out.

    Anyone interested in joining Ski & Snowboard Club this year needs to register on the Boston Mills website.  Please see Ms. Flynn in Mod 17 if you have questions or need paperwork.

    Barnstormers Drama Club will be performing its fall play, William Shakespeare’s MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING tomorrow thru Sat. Performances will be held in the Art Atrium. Shows are at 7:30pm on Wednesday & Thursday, 4:00pm on Friday, & 12:00, 3:00, & 7:30 on Saturday. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased in advance in the Book Room. Seating is limited, so get your tickets now!

    What are you doing this Friday, Oct. 21st? Come on down to Lakewood’s first inaugural corn hole tournament! The tournament will be held behind the mods from 4 to 6 PM. It’s $5.00 a pair and all proceeds will go to the junior class. First place winners will each receive a $10 chipotle gift card and runner up will receive five dollars. Staff and students are welcome, sign up in the bookroom today!

    Join Club Identity in mod 37 today, for our October meeting. We will be discussing the meaning behind the LGBTQ acronym, as well as having a discussion on pronouns and gender. We will conclude our meeting by decorating pumpkins for pumpkin Palooza so bring your creativity! Snacks will be provided.

    This is a reminder to the students that have chromebooks. When not in use, the chromebook should be in its case. If you have a chromebook that needs to be repaired, the bookroom will not accept it if it is not in its case.

    Buy a Red or Blue yard sign to support your favorite party or candidate. Yard signs will be on sale in the mod hallway from 7:45am to 7:55am thru this Friday. Yard signs cost $1 and all proceeds will go to H20.

     

    THE HEALTH CAREERS TECHNOLOGY JUNIORS CONDUCTED A HAND WASHING SURVEY YESTERDAY DURING PERIODS 7-8-9.

    STUDENTS OBSERVED & RECORDED the NUMBER of LHS STUDENTS and STAFF WHO ENTERED THE BATHROOM and, WHO DID NOT WASH THEIR HANDS.

    A TOTAL OF 293 PEOPLE ENTERED THE BATHROOMS AND 161 OF THOSE DID NOT WASH THEIR HANDS!!!

    THAT MEANS that ONLY 46% of YOUR PEERS WASHED THEIR HANDS AFTER BEING IN THE BATHROOM or, STATED ANOTHER WAY, OVER HALF of THOSE OBSERVED, DID NOT WASH THEIR HANDS!!!!!!!

    STOP BY ONE of OUR DISPLAY STATIONS DURING 7-8-9 TODAY and GET THE FACTS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF GOOD HAND WASHING!

    The moment you’ve all been waiting for!  Race & diversity is holding its first meeting of the 2016-17 school year!  All are welcome as we dive back into fascinating topics around tolerance & intolerance.  We meet tomorrow after school in MOD 16.  Refreshments will be served!  Be There!

    Attention Seniors – Prestige Photography will be here at LHS next Wednesday, October 26th from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM to take free senior portraits for the 2017 LHS Cinema. A signup sheet is located on the wall outside Mr. Ebner’s room (B207).

    If you have not or do not plan on going to the studio for a photography session, please sign up. This will be the only opportunity for in-school pictures.

    Project Smile will meet this Thursday in Lec Hall 1 from 3-4 pm.

    Juniors and seniors are encouraged to meet with the College Representatives inside the Guidance Office, Room A111. Military Representatives will be outside of the Main Hallway 1st floor/ Lunch area.

    Students must obtain a pass from their classroom teacher if planning to visit during class. A pass can also be written by the Guidance Secretary.
