Andrew Bogut holds his leg in pain just seconds after he fractures it

The Cleveland Cavaliers recently signed veteran center Andrew Bogut. Bogut, who is in his 11th NBA season has been on a couple of teams in his NBA career. He spent time with the Bucks, where he was drafted. He then spent time with the Golden State Warriors where he won an NBA Championship in 2015. He was then traded to the Dallas Mavericks so the Warriors could free room for Kevin Durant. The Cavs signed Bogut on March 2nd to add depth to what is a weak bench, which has become weaker due to numerous injuries. Bogut made his debut 4 days later with the Cavs on Monday March 6th against the Miami Heat, but it didn’t last very long, 58 seconds for a matter of fact. The injury happened early in the first quarter when Bogut went out to contest the wide open Okaro White who then drove in on Bogut and White’s knee collided with Bogut’s shin. Bogut was helped off the floor and was given x-rays which confirmed a fractured tibia. Bogut was then taken to the Cleveland Clinic for further evaluation where his leg was set. Bogut did not need surgery but he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season and will be out for the playoffs. The Cavs plan to waive Bogut and add another player, and may release guard DeAndre Liggins in the process to free up money so they will not have to pay a $1 million luxury tax, per CBS Sports.
