After a close vote in Lakewood, the hospital was torn down with the purpose of constructing a new Hospital. The emergency room and the services that accompany it are still around. it is only the hospital portion of the facility that has been closed temporarily for reconstruction. Plans for the new family center were posted on the Cleveland Clinic website
