3 Vitamins You Can Take on a Daily Basis

Many of us wonder if we are getting all of the essential vitamins and minerals that our bodies need to function healthily on a day-to-day basis. The Answer?–not even close.

But if you are worried that you are going to have to go out to the store every week and keep your kitchen fully stocked on every kind of food containing every kind of vitamin, you would be wrong.

Try walking one aisle over from wherever you are stressing over what foods have what nutrients and take a stroll down the vitamin aisle. Here, you will find every letter of vitamin and big long word that you had no idea how to pronounce, all hiding in one aisle for your leisure.

This may seem convenient (and it is!) but you cannot just begin grabbing every bottle on the shelves and filling your cart; you must know what you are looking for and what vitamins you should or shouldn’t be taking.

One of the most important vitamins you should be taking is a multivitamin. This vitamin will provide your body with most of the vitamins you need to be consuming on a daily basis, all in one tablet.

For example, this pill will provide you with vitamins C, D, E, and zinc. You should look for a bottle that says it has 100% of your daily value in it.

You should take half of the recommended dose in the morning and half of it at night, that way your body will absorb it better. This will provide you will a lot of the nutrients and vitamins you will miss out on in your meals.

After the multivitamin, most health professionals would recommend a fish oil pill. Fish oil contains omega-3 fatty acids which are necessary for the most effective function of your heart and brain. You should be taking about 600 mg of fish oil a day.

Finally, a lot of physicians will recommend a vitamin C tablet to on top of the multivitamin.

Vitamin C is good for your immune system and will help to prevent many illnesses such as the common cold as well as fight off viruses. A lot of vitamin C is good for your body, so taking one tablet of vitamin C every morning will be beneficial.

Sticking to a light vitamin regimen is beneficial for your body functions but you should be careful not to take too many or to stray too far away from the necessary vitamins.
