    “Cleveland is my city”

    Cleveland is my city

Once again its time, for baseball, America’s favorite past time!

Meet, Carlos Santana, the Cleveland Indians’s designated hitter wrote to Cleveland about the World Series, his relationship with the police and his best-friend.

Carlos Santana was traded to the Indians in 2008 and made him MLB debut with Cleveland in 2010. “Cleveland, for me, has been the best. It’s a place where people are always pushing forward and working hard, just like in the Dominican Republic, where I am from,”

Santana wrote in a pot for the Cleveland Indians’ website. He claims although the Indians lost to the Chicago Cubs in the World Series, he wasn’t too disappointed because Cleveland’s fans still made the team feel like champions and that the city had loved them as though they had won.

Santana also wrote about Indians fan Niko Lanzarotta, who has cerebral palsy. He called the boy family and his best friend in Cleveland.

Carlos wrapped up his letter to Cleveland by saying“What I am going to think about is going to work, being a good citizen and taking care of my loved ones. That’s who I am and what we do here in Cleveland.”

Opening Day took place Tuesday, April 11th against the Chicago White Sox , and there was a big crowd waiting to cheer the Indians on. The tickets sold out extremely fast, in a matter of minutes. The Indians played hard and took yet another win for Cleveland, the score being 2-1. The fans went wild.

What a lovely start for the Indians’ 2017 season!
