    Cavaliers road to the Finals

    Cavaliers road to the Finals

Going into the 2017 NBA Playoffs, the Cleveland Cavaliers finished second in the Eastern conference. It was a close one, as the Boston Celtics took the first seed away from them. After last years emotional championship victory, the Cavs seek to go back to back. It won’t be easy considering the competition in the East.

The Cavaliers did start off the playoffs sweeping the Indiana Pacers. That set a mark that they weren’t messing around this year. The next round spots for the rest of the East are up for grabs now. The Toronto Raptors are up 3-2 against the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston is up on Chicago 3-2, and Washing is up on Atlanta 3-2. Every series is close, the Cavs are the only team to sweep in the East.

Taking a trip to the other side of the map, you’ll find that last years runner-up, the Golden State Warriors are the only team to sweep in the West. Now with Kevin Durant back from injury, the Warriors have become very dangerous. Both teams know how it is to lose in the Finals. Bringing it back to years ago when the Cavs lost on their home court, and the Warriors took home the gold. Last year the Cavs were saved by a Kyrie Irving late minute shot to put them up. LeBron closing it all out with a huge chase-down block.

The road to the Finals will be a hard battle. Only the toughest of the tough will show their real skills. The Cavaliers are known for showing up in the playoffs. Now knowing what winning feels like, they are hungry for more.
