    Art in CLE

    Art+in+CLE

While Cleveland’s buildings alone are art themselves, the Cleveland Museum of Art has a ton to offer this summer. Regularly going to the museum, you can see many beautiful pieces of art. But they have so much more than what meets the eye. This summer, there are a few events taking place. On June 2nd, head on down to the MIX at CMA to explore portraits, still lifes, and landscapes of artist Alex Katz from  the 1950’s. If you pay in advance, this event is only $10, and if you pay on the day of its only $15 to see amazing pieces. This will take place from 6:00pm-10:00pm and its something you wont want to miss.

On June 10th, the Cleveland Museum of Art hosts a Parade the Circle. For 28 years and counting, Cleveland has put on this amazing parade while keeping it free as a signature event. Watch the city come to life with art and colors, and meet all the international and national artists who attend this event. Prepare yourself for bright costumes, large puppets, stilt dancers, masks, floats and more! This event is family friendly, like all of the events put on by CMA.

In early July, head back over to the museum for a fun family day. Explore, create, play and make lifelong memories at this gathering. All of the activities are free for any age and they are endless fun.

If the heat isn’t your cup of tea, don’t worry about not being able to see the art. The Cleveland Museum of Art is opened everyday except for Monday. There is no charge to get in, but some exhibits may have a charge. So next time you’re looking for something to do, head on over to the museum and have the time of your life.
