    Attention! Being on-time is a critical component to being successful in every walk of life. Please note that beginning today, if you did not arrive to your 1st period classroom by 8:00am you will receive a detention. If you need assistance developing and/or identifying strategies that will assist you in being on-time, see your guidance counselor or House Principal.

     

     

    The Southwestern Conference Cheerleader competition will be held at Midview high school Monday, November 6th at 7pm. Tickets are $6.00 and can be purchased in the Athletic Office. Do not miss class to purchase tickets. Come before school, your lunch period or after school.

    Tickets will be sold today through this Thursday.

     

     

    The weight room will be closed until further notice.

     

     

    There will be a meeting today at 3:15pm in the new wrestling room for all students interested in joining the wrestling team.

     

     

    Attention all seniors:  Today is the last day that you may come to the Bookroom to submit your nomination for class motto and class song.

     

     

    Barnstormers Drama Club will meet after school today in the Studio Theatre. Come hear about upcoming auditions, meet the directors for the Winter One Act Play Festival, and say a final farewell to Mr. Farinelli’s ponytail.  Hope to see you there!

     

     

    The guidance counselors will be talking to the juniors today during their English classes about College & Career Planning.

     

     

    If you are in a math class, listen up!  Math Study Tables start tomorrow morning.  This year they will be held in Ms. Sandor’s room B314 for every session.  Sessions will be held Tuesdays after school from 3 – 3:30pm and Thursdays before school from 7:15 – 7:45am.  If you plan on coming in the morning, please arrive to the cafeteria by 7:20am so Ms. Sandor can walk the group up.  If you’re late, you’re out of luck!

     

     

    The first Barney’s Cafe of the year will be Thursday, November 9th in the Black Box Studio Theatre at 7:00 PM!  Come join us for a FREE evening of acoustic music and self-expression.  Interested in performing?  Sign-ups are on the bulletin board outside of the Studio Theatre.

    The historically famous student club, Eaters of Lakewood, is back in action!!  Our first meeting of the year will be tomorrow at 6pm at Woodstock BBQ.  Bring some friends, some cash and help us fulfill our mission:  To enjoy food!  That’s tomorrow, 6pm at Woodstock BBQ!  See why we are “the best tasting club in Lakewood!”

     

     

    Attention musicians! Are you interested in playing jazz? There will be a jazz jam session tomorrow in the band room from 6-7:30 PM.  Anyone interested in playing in the Jazz Workshop or auditioning for Jazz Band should attend.  See Mr. Steinbrunner in the band room with any questions.

     

     

    Anyone interested in joining Ski & Snowboard Club needs to return their commitment form to Ms. Flynn in C318 today.

     

     

    Cleveland State University’s Instant Decision day is Wednesday, November 29th during lunch periods in the LRC.

     

    Come out and support AYF by dining at Angelo’s tomorrow.  Let them know you’re there to support AYF and 20% of your check will go to AYF to support students attending the National Leadership Conference.  See Ms. Sabin if you need more information.
