On November 30, Lakewood High School and the Lakewood City Schools invite you to the Purple & Gold Ranger Rally in the new gym at 6 pm to celebrate the new gymnasium, weight room, wrestling room, indoor track, and community fitness center. This open house and athletic showcase is open to the public, and includes a variety of skills competitions featuring the winter season Ranger teams. During the open house the public is welcome to tour the new athletic wing, including the wrestling gym and fitness center, and even walk the brand new indoor track. The Lakewood Athletic Boosters will also be there selling concessions for those in attendance.

The opening of the new athletic wing has been long waited for and greatly anticipated. Since the old gym and old wing were torn down, students, staff, and residents have been waiting for the new wing to open. The past few seasons the Ranger Basketball teams have had to play their home games at Harding Middle School, Homecoming and After Prom have had to happen at Harding, and the Track & Field team has been without an indoor track. All of this while waiting for the construction to happen and be completed.

But now, finally, the wait is over, so come on down to the showcase on November 30. It should be a good time, hope to see you there!
