    This is a reminder that as of November 1, 2017, if you are not in your 1st period classroom by 8:00 AM, you will receive a detention.

     

    The Lakewood Police Dept is holding its annual Citizen Police Academy starting in Jan 2018. There are two spots open for an eligible junior or senior in good standing who might be interested in attending. If so, contact Officer Acklin in B126

     

     

    Attention Staff and Students: The Makerspace at LHS needs your help.  We would love your input on a creative name, hashtag, and logo for the new space that will be in the LRC.  Snap or scan the codes you see on the posters hanging around the school to lend your creative genius to our Makerspace.

     

     

    Want to beat the winter blues?  Join Ski & Snowboard Club.  No experience is necessary – you can learn to ski or snowboard in the club!  If you are interested, see Ms. Flynn in C318 for forms and information.  You must register by December 22nd.

     

     

    PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA!  $1 a slice after school on Tuesdays by the main entrance!  Hurry before they are all sold out!!!

     

     

    History club will be meeting today after school to discuss the life of Alexander Hamilton.  We will see a short documentary, discuss Hamilton, hear some songs and have some cookies.  All are welcome!

     

    Presale student tickets for this Friday’s basketball game vs. St. Eds, are on sale in the bookroom for $4.00.

     

    Math Study Tables will be held in Ms. Sandor’s room B314, after school tomorrow.

     

    Winter athletes, stop by the athletic office to pick up your winter free entrance sticker for home games. The deadline to get your sticker is this Friday, December 1st at 3:30pm. You must have all of your participation forms on file with the athletic office to receive your sticker. We will not replace lost, stolen or misplaced stickers.

     

    Please join RAD after school this Wednesday, Nov. 29th in C309. We will honor one of RAD’s founding members, Khadijah Baker, who lost her life on November 7th, as well as the other pioneers who started the Race And Diversity Club. Come hear their amazing story! Hope to see you there!

     

    Attention Lakewood High American Youth Foundation members. Our next meeting is Friday, December 1st immediately after school in room B208. We will discuss our fundraiser which begins next week. See you Friday.

     

     Attention Dance Group Members: All groups are practicing at their scheduled morning and evening times this week.  Please make sure that you are there.
