Lakewood vs. Saint Edwards

Friday is the big day–the one we have all been waiting for. Friday night is the first official basketball game in the brand new gym. After years of construction the “new” Lakewood High is finally coming together.

Lakewood and Saint Edwards hold one of the biggest rivalries. Last year Saint Edward came on top with the win–but this year the rangers are more ready than ever. Lakewood has been preparing for this game since the season officially started on November 1st.

The game also kicks off the new gym as this is the first event in it. The opening ceremony will take place on November 30th to recognize all winter sports team and the pep band.

The starters for the game include Noah Stadler (senior), Liam Doup (senior), Tim Smith (junior), Zion Darby (junior), and Jacob Sala (senior). Jacob Sala recently committed to Notre Dame College to continue his basketball career.

This very exciting time for the Lakewood community as the battle begins tonight. Tickets are starting to sell out as the new gym will be packed for the game of the year.

Hopefully our Rangers will be able to come out on top but they need our support. Drive out to the game to help cheer on our school in this very exciting time– the celebration of our brand new gym and the celebration of our Lakewood Boys Basketball team and all of the hard work they have put forth for this moment, this game against their rivals, Saint Eds
