Want to beat the winter blues?  Join Ski & Snowboard Club.  No experience is necessary – you can learn to ski or snowboard in the club!  If you are interested, see Ms. Flynn in C318 for forms and information.  You must register by December 22nd.

Gamers’ Club is collecting plastic bottle caps during lunch periods. Please take your plastic bottle caps to the Gamers’ Club table during lunch to learn more about what they’re doing!

The Medical Office Management class is seeking donations for Laura’s Home. Today, hundreds of single-mothers and their children are experiencing or on the verge of homelessness in our city. With 168 beds and 55 rooms, Laura’s Home offers a variety of services intended to prepare women and children for positive, productive futures.  The class is collecting toiletries and school supplies.  Check the flyers in the halls for the items that are needed. Please turn them into Room A201 before the holiday break.

Do the holidays excite you, or do you dread them? Do you love the snow, or hate the cold? Come to Club Identity’s next meeting for an open discussion on holiday cheer and ways to make the holidays a little brighter. The meeting will be Monday, December 11th after school in C219, Mr. Brookholt’s room. Hot Chocolate will be served and all are welcome!

Show everyone your holiday spirit by decorating your classroom doors.  Be as creative as you like, all we ask is that you not use lights as they can be a fire hazard.  The most creative door will receive bragging rights and a trophy for the year, which will then be handed to next year’s winner…so get those creative juices flowing!

On Saturday, December 16th you can be part of a Lakewood tradition of providing bags of food for our neighbors during the Holiday season with Lakewood Charitable Assistance Corp.  Sign up outside the H2O office to help pack food and ride along to deliver bags and spread Holiday cheer throughout our city.

Attention Lakewood Students and staff!  Come out tonight to support the Lakewood Boys’ Basketball team in our new home gymnasium!  It is certain to be an exciting game.  So come out and join our Sixth Man in the end zone bleachers and cheer as loud as you can!  Go Rangers!!!

Like cupcakes?  Elizabeth’s cupcakes will be sold by Model UN next week before and after school.  Bring your cash and your sweet tooth….
