    Hey LHS! Don’t forget to nominate one of your teachers for Educator of the Year and/or your favorite staff member for the Helping Hands Award! Nominations are due to the bookroom today.

     

    The annual Kiwanis hosted Lakewood Pizza Bake-Off is tomorrow night from 5:00 to 8:00pm in the LHS cafeteria.  12 pizzerias from the Lakewood area will be participating.  The all you can eat admission (sorry, no carryout containers allowed) is, anyone 13 and older, $10 ~ Children 6-12, $5 ~ children 5 and under are FREE.  Vote for your favorite pizza, buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win a 55” UHD-TV and new this year, the Ranger Café will be providing baked goods.  Purchase your tickets ahead of time by emailing your request to: [email protected]

     

    Barnstormers will meet in the Studio Theatre at 3:15, after school today to discuss the One Acts and set up risers for the show.  Please plan to attend!

     

    The first Barney’s Cafe of 2018 will be Thursday, January 25th at 7pm in the Studio Theatre.  Signups for performers will be outside of the theatre, but all are welcome to join us in the audience for a free night of open expression and fun!

     

    Join the fight against hunger in our community.  H2O is delivering fresh groceries to senior citizens in the Westerly Apartments this Friday after school. Sign up outside the H2O office in the cafeteria.

     

    Are members of the LGBTQ Community treated fairly in major league sports? What about at the college and high school levels? Or right here at LHS? Come join Club Identity for a discussion surrounding the treatment of LGBTQ people in athletics on Monday, January 22nd in C212, Mr. Brookholt’s room. Snacks will be provided, and all are welcome!

     

    Please be aware that tomorrow, Cuyahoga Community College will be in the LRC from 10:30am to 12:00pm. They will assist seniors in completing applications. Please take advantage of this great opportunity.

     

    Model UN will meet today at 6pm in C314.

     

    Interested in participating in the Pep rally on Friday? Please find your class officers to sign up and get a permission slip. In order to participate you need to have your permission slip signed and returned to Mr. Jackson by noon on Friday! Also, Friday will be a class color day! Seniors wear purple, Juniors wear white, Sophomores wear yellow, Freshmen wear red, and staff wear black! The class with the most class color spirit will be rewarded with points in the spirit competition! See you at the pep rally!
