    Sexual Abuse Outbreak in Pakistan

    Sexual+Abuse+Outbreak+in+Pakistan

An anti terrorism court has sentences a 24-year-old man to death for the rape and murder of a 7-year-old girl. Since, the case has sparked a nationwide outrage  and put a spotlight on child abuse in the country.

The killer, Imran Ali, was also sentenced to life in prison on the count of sodomy  and a large fine for desecrating the body of the young girl, Zainab Amin. During Ali’s four day trial he confessed to raping a total of nine girls….seven of whom he has killed within the past 18 months.

Zainab went missing on January 4th, 2018 after leaving her house to take Quran lessons at her aunt’s home. Five days later, her body was found in a garbage. Ali, a neighbor of Zainab was arrested on January 24th after a large manhunt that resulted in hundreds of DNA tests.

Meher Shakeel Mutani, the first lawyer representing Ali, refused to defend him half way through the trials–stating his “conscience did not let him continue to after hearing the confession and accounts of eyewitnesses.”

The heinous crime against the first grader has triggered nationwide protests and proposed legislation to hold public execution for those convicted of raping children younger than 14. Zainab’s parents are demanding such principles as her mother states, “I want him to be hanged publicly at the place where he took Zainab.”

Kasur, Pakistan is now synonymous with darkness as 13 children have been raped and murdered within the past 2 years.   In 2015, Pakistan’s large pedophile ring was revealed-involving more than 285 videos of children being sexually abused.

Ali has been convicted and sentenced to death, but the means of execution are not yet revealed.
