    The H2O Grocery Delivery is today after school.  It’s an easy walk from LHS.  Get the details in the H2O office in the cafeteria. While you’re there, sign up for Breakfast with the Bunny on Saturday, March 24th at Lakewood Park.

     

    Registrations for the AP exams are underway in the Book Room.  Registration forms are available in the Bookroom, from your AP teachers and your house office. A $15 deposit per exam is required and due by March 23rd.  This date is set by the College Board, therefore we cannot accept deposits after March 23rd or you will have to pay a $55 per test LATE Fee!   See Mr. Siftar if you have questions.

     

    Looking for a great summer job?  Lakewood Recreation is now hiring enthusiastic and responsible students for summer jobs such as lifeguards, pool attendants, concession workers, baseball scorers and more!  Complete an application at www.lakewoodrecreation.com/summerjobs  Lifeguard training courses are available this spring – sign up today!

     

    The Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation scholarship deadline is Monday, March 19th.  The application packet with all information can be found on the foundation website, www.lakewoodrangers.com under the Programs section.  Please look outside of the Guidance Office on the table or in Naviance for these scholarships.

     

    Also seniors! If you are planning to go to college, a technical or trade school, please stop by the House 3 office or the guidance office and pick up an OAPSE 129 scholarship application. The application is open to all seniors and you could get $500 towards your tuition!

     

    Are you a senior planning to attend college next year and major in education?  If this is you, there are opportunities for $500 scholarships available through the Lakewood Teachers Association.  Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of financial need, scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities and an essay. Further information about the on-line application is available in the guidance department and on the LHS web page.  Completed applications are due on Friday, April 13, 2018.  It’s not too soon to get started!

     

    The Ranger Hub is now open for study hall students.

     

    Students, you are no longer permitted to go to your cars (on or off campus) during the school day.

     

    Attention Current 10th & 11th Grade Students:

    Effective Leadership Academy, Lakewood City Schools and the Chamber of Commerce have partnered together to turn your city into a classroom!

     

    This is a 5-day college and career-readiness program June 11th-15th, where each day is anchored by a central theme, a closely associated leadership skill-set, and a carefully selected location in your community.

     

    Only 50 students will be accepted into this program for 2018. Apply by April 11th to be considered for this exciting opportunity to get to know Lakewood like you never have before!  Questions – See Mr. Siftar

     

    Attention any former, or current LHS Health students.  There will be a CPR certification course Thursday, March 22nd after school in room A105.  If you wish to receive a 2 year CPR certificate, please sign up with Mr. Saksa in C125, or Mr. Dolnosich in A105.  The class will be approximately 2 1/2 hours long, so plan accordingly.

     

    Are you looking for a way to meet new people? Would you like to find new ways to reduce your stress? Come see what Yoga Club is all about. Yoga Club will meet today at 3:15pm in C116. See Mrs. Konopinski for more details.

     

    Make dinner a selfless act by joining us for a fundraiser to support the sophomore class, the class of 2020!  Just go to the Lakewood Chipotle on Tuesday, March 20th anytime between 4:00 & 8:00pm.  Bring the flyer or show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you are supporting the LHS class of 2020.  The class of 2020 will receive 50% of the proceeds.

     

    HAPPY ST. BALDRICK’S DAY! Today during 3rd period, please reach into your hearts and your pockets to donate to the 2018 LHS Braves the Shave efforts.  Third period teachers will be collecting funds.  Additionally, you can donate during lunch. Together we can fight childhood cancer!
