Joe Byczek is a senior at Lakewood High School, he is one of the ten seniors on the boys varsity baseball team. Their season began on the 26th of March as they took on the Valley Forge Patriots in a non conference math up. Joe has been part of the high school baseball team all four years, and this is his second year playing varsity. He also had participated in football for his four years of high school. I got to ask Joe a couple of questions about baseball.

Q:  What are your favorite baseball memories?

A:  “Some of my favorite baseball memories are beating St. Edwards my freshman and coming back from losing 8-1 against Midview and coming back to beat them in the last inning my sophomore year. These are two games I will never forget.”

Q:  What are your plans for after high school?

A: ” I’m still deciding on what to do next year, I have some thoughts about joining the Navy but I still have not made any final decisions.”

Q: How long have you played baseball for?

A: ” I have been playing baseball since I was five years old when it was still tee ball and the games were at Edwards Park.”

Q: What are you most excited for this upcoming season?

A: ” I am really excited for playoffs this season, our team has a lot of potential this year and I have high hopes for us. I am also excited for my senior baseball season and enjoying my final sport in high school.”
