The 2018 Ranger’s Varsity baseball team had their senior night on Friday April 27, 2018. The game was scheduled for 7pm but was pushed back to 7:30 due to rain. The Ranger’s were taking on cross town rival St. Eds. The Rangers have 10 seniors which is one of their biggest senior classes for the baseball team ever.

The Rangers announced the 10 seniors and their parents before the game like a normal senior night. The Rangers were able to start all of their seniors. They had nine in the field and they had one as the designated hitter.

The Rangers Starting pitcher senior Jared Naida had a great start to the game to keep the rangers in the game. All of the Rangers were having a great day hitting being able to get hits and put up runs.

Senior Blake Setta had an amazing day at the plate for him self. With the Rangers down one in the bottom of the third and Naida on first Setta turned on a ball and ripped it over the left fielder, over the fence and into the parking lot. Setta’s two run homer put the Rangers up one.

The Rangers were able to put on another run to their lead later in the game to put them up 8-6. The Rangers called in their Junior Armani Adames for the close with two innings left.

Adames was able to hold Eds to no runs in the top of the sixth. In the top of the seventh Eds was able to get runners on, got a runner over to third base with two out.  Adams was able to get the last out of the inning by striking the batter out.
