    Kanye’s Opinion On Slavery

    Kanyes+Opinion+On+Slavery

On Thursday May 3, 2018 at approximately 12:29 p.m. the radio station 105.1, which is a radio station called The Bounce, announced they were not going to play Kayne West songs from today on forward.

The radio station staff said they were not going to have that kind of music aired on to the public because of what Kanye West said, which was how slavery was a choice. Then the radio station staff proceeded to say..

” This has gone too far with his (Kayne’s) latest statement ‘slavery was a choice’. We do not want to hear Kayne’s music. So we are taking a stand and we are not playing his music anymore; we are refusing to give him a platform”

Kayne’s direct quote was ” When you hear about slavery for 400 years… 400 years? That sounds like a choice. You were there for 400 years and it is all of y’all. It is like we are mentally imprisoned”

It was not just the radio station The Bounce that was infuriated with this comment, there were many people everywhere and they were sharing their opinions.

A particular staff radio station member was very angry was his remark and his name is Van Lathan. He believed that Kayne West had an ” absence of thought” because he could not believe that he would say those words.

Van Lathan was not the only one mad about the situation, and many people tried to make fun of it by saying ” I’m confused, didn’t we already decide not to take anything Kanye say seriously 15 years ago?”-Ogden Moore.

Others said ” Huh! I wonder why so few people choose to be slaves nowadays?”- Sasha Gregory.
