    Our first Barney’s Cafe for the year, is Thursday, September 13that 7pm in the Black Box Studio Theatre! This FREE event is open to anyone looking for a relaxed place to watch some awesome performances, eat yummy snacks, and have a good time. Those interested in performing should sign up on the bulletin board outside of the studio theatre. See any of the performing arts teachers if you have questions!

     

    Enjoy the beautiful weather today after school to help our local food pantry.  Sign up at the H2O office to work in the Lakewood Community Service Center’s garden at Madison Park.  Transportation is provided.

     

    Homecoming is Saturday, October 6th. If you plan to go to the dance, you must return any textbooks that you still have out from last year. This does not include the textbooks that you checked out for this year.

     

    The weight room will be open after school 3:30pm-5:00pm Monday through Friday. Coach Ribar will be the supervisor. All students must have current participation forms on file.

     

    Attention Lakewood Athletes:

    If you earned a varsity letter in two different sports or two consecutive years in one sport, you qualify to join the Lakewood Varsity Club. The Varsity Club will promote sportsmanship, compete for the OHSAA Golden Megaphone award, help coach youth athletics, attend the OHSAA Leadership Conference, help organize spirit rally, organize fundraisers, help at OHSAA tournaments and LHS awards ceremonies. If you are interested in joining, please pick up an application in the athletic office.

     

    The LHS Yoga Club will have its first meeting on Tuesday, September 11thin C112. Come ready to do yoga and have some fun. Make sure to wear comfortable clothing. If you do not have a yoga mat, there are plenty for you to borrow. Everyone is welcome! Please see Ms. Konopinski for more information.

     

    ATTENTION SENIORS: Prestige Photography will be here at LHS on Thursday, September 27th, to take free senior yearbook portraits. Sign up for a time slot on the papers outside Room B207 (Mr. Ebner’s room). ONLY PHOTOS FROM PRESTIGE CAN BE USED IN THE YEARBOOK,so make sure to have yours taken on the September 27th.

     

    Tuesday, September 11th, marks the 17thanniversary of 9/11. To commemorate the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives on that horrific day, Key Club will be placing flags on the front lawn to represent the victims, and our countries patriotism. If you would like to help place flags and be part of a great opportunity to represent these victims and our country, please meet on the front lawn right after school on Monday, September 10th. All are welcomed to help!
