    H2Os Pumpkin Palooza

Lakewood High School’s H2O is hosting the annual Pumpkin Palooza on Saturday, October 28th. It will take place from 1-4 pm at the Garfield Middle School Gym, located on 13114 Detroit Avenue. This event is free to attend, open to the public, and perfect for a family event. H2O is requesting attendees to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the Lakewood Charitable Assistance Corporation.

Pumpkin Palooza is a grand festival featuring a pumpkin carving contest, a raffle to win pumpkins painted by local artists, and spooky story telling in “Sleepy Hollow”. There will be carnival games, crafts, and refreshments available for sale. At 2pm, there will be a costume parade.

The Pumpkin Palooza is co-sponsored by H2O and The City of Lakewood to raise money for charity. Tickets can be used to participate in the raffle and carnival games, and get snacks. They will be sold at the door for 25 cents, and there is no limit on the quantity that you purchase. All proceeds from this event will go toward charitable organizations, like the Lakewood Community Services Center and the Lakewood Charitable Assistance Corporation.

Lakewood High School senior, Madyson Kelly, said she was excited to attend this year’s Pumpkin Palooza. “My mom and I are going to take my younger siblings. I think they’ll really enjoy the carnival games. They also want to be in the costume parade.” She also hopes to win the pumpkin carving contest.

Lakewood’s Pumpkin Palooza is a festival for people of all ages, with lots of activities, refreshments, and pumpkins.
