    To all those who signed up to be elves!  Don’t forget the MANDATORY meeting right afterschool this Thursday in the cafeteria.

     

    Do you like to ski or snowboard? Do you want to go on a trip to Holiday Valley in New York? Any student interested should see Ms. Flynn in C318 for information. Get your deposit to the Bookroom by November 30thto reserve a spot on the bus!  Time is running out!  The trip is Saturday, January 12, 2019.

     

     

    The PTA Reflections art contest is now underway & we need you!!!

    “Heroes around me” is this year’s Reflections Theme!

    Tap into your creativity using choreography, filmmaking, literature, music composition, photography, and/or visual art to create your own work of art!  Pick up your PTA Reflections Entry Form today! Available in any of the house offices, and the bookroom.  Entries are due to the Main Office, by tomorrow.

    Have you ever wanted to be in a play, but were too nervous or worried about the time commitment? Consider trying out for the Winter One Act Play Festival!  We only rehearse once a week, so it’s a great opportunity for veteran actors and new!

    Auditions for the Winter One Acts are Thursday, November 29thafter school in the Black Box Theatre. Any LHS student is invited to audition! Please pick up an audition packet from the Black Box or room B208!

     

    Club Interact will have its first meeting of the year tomorrow in room A125 at 3:00pm.

    Wednesday – The Ohio Army Coast Guard will be here 4th– 7thperiods

    All military visits are in the Athletic Hallway

     

    Seniors interested in taking advantage of the Cleveland State Instant Decision Day on Thursday, Nov. 29th, will need to sign up in the Counseling Dept. beforeThursday during the lunch hours. Please remember to make application first, directly to the institution, not the Common Application, and choosing “will pay by mail” option at the end of the application.  This fee will be waived upon meeting with the representative this Thursday, periods 4 through 7 in the Counseling Dept. Conf. Room.

     

    Seniors – please be mindful of December 1st deadlines for college applications and the Financial Aid Form.  See Mrs. Sandoval in the Counseling Dept. on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

     

    National Runaway Prevention Monthis the annual awareness and prevention campaign for runaway and homeless youth issues.  Every November, participants across the country host activities and events that amplify the experiences of runaway and homeless youth and the role everyone plays in ending youth homelessness. Please help support Casey’s Kids during their Friday, November 30thawareness activities during your lunchtime in the cafeteria.

     

    The annual Cops 4 Kids event is being held on Saturday, December 8th. Raffle tickets are 6 for $5.00 and the raffle will be held on December 10th.  For every $100.00 collected, a child gets to shop with a police officer and spend the $100. Tickets will be sold until Friday, Nov 30th.  A chance to win prizes include a 55″ LED TV, Apple Watch, and $100 cash.  Please see Officer Acklin in B126 for tickets.
