It’s been three months since the death of beloved American rapper, Mac Miller. Miller was only 26 years old.

Over the weekend, the 2019 Grammy Nominees were released. From many different talented artist to many different categories, Miller was found under “Category 25 – Best Rap Album,” for his fifth studio album, Swimming.
Miller released Swimming in early August 2018. The album itself, has no featured artists, but does contain vocal contribution from artists like Snoop Dogg, Dev Hynes, Thundercat and many more.
“Swimming returned to the top 10 following his death in September, vaulting 71-6 on the chart. In the intro track “Come Back to Earth,” Miller sets a positive tone for the project, rapping, “I was drowning, but now I’m swimming.” The album’s three singles were “Small Worlds,” “Self Care” and “What’s the Use?” – www.billboard.com

In an interview with MTV, Miller once mentioned that his dream was to receive a Grammy Award nomination. In the best rap album field, Miller is up against Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy, Nipsey Hussle’s Victory Lap, Pusha T’s Daytona and Travis Scott’s Astroworld.

It's a shame Mac Miller couldn't be here to witness his first ever GRAMMY nomination. Years of hardwork, building, & success. Hadn't even reached his peak yet. Glad his album was considered, because 'SWIMMING' is fantastic.
