    James Harden for MVP?

    James Harden for MVP?

James Harden is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets in the National Basketball Association. James Harden was born on August 26, 1989 in Bellflower, California. James Harden was drafted in 2009 to Oklahoma City. He makes about 28.3 million dollars in one year.

Harden hasn’t been discussed much to repeat as Most Valuable Player — not with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anthony Davis and LeBron James in the picture. The Houston Rockets had a slow start this season, but as of now they are ranked 5th in the Western Conference. Harden was named MVP for the first time in his career last season, but has taken his game to a new level in 2018-2019, averaging a NBA-best 34.8 points per game entering Tuesday.

This would be highest scoring average for any player since Kobe Bryant scored 35.4 points per game in 2005-2006.  Giannis Antetokounmpo has become an all-around dominant player with averages of 26.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.5 blocks per game. The Bucks are one of two teams with 30 wins already this year.

That is Harden`s only competition as of now. When Lebron James comes back and more players come up, James Harden will have a tough time winning MVP with those players playing really well.

Senior Domic Wahba said, “I believe that James Harden will win MVP again this season because the past 15 games he has scored more than 30 points. Another reason why I think he is going to win is that because his team will go to the playoffs because of James Harden.”

James Harden has to keep playing like this for the rest of the season if he wants to win MVP.
