    The Winter Dance is tomorrow and due to the 2-day closure, we are selling tickets for $15 today!  Get your signed forms and money in to us by 3:15 today!

     

    Seniors, the Jostens visit has been rescheduled to next Wednesday, February 6th, during all lunch periods.  Because of the school closings this week, Jostens will keep the price of the cap and gown at $28.00 plus tax.  The cost of the cap and gown will go up to $50.00 plus tax on Thursday, February 7th.

     

    Attention all Dance Group Members!!  

    Mandatory practice on Monday, February 4th at 7:30 pm in the Dance Room (also known as, lecture hall 1).  We are learning the Opener.  Any questions contact Mrs. Hays.

     

    Attention ALL old and new National Honor Society members, our next mandatory meeting is Wednesday, February 6, from 3-4 pm in Lecture Hall 1. We will be welcoming all new members and discussing the upcoming induction ceremony. Please see an officer or Mr. Roth in A210 if you have any questions.

     

    Attention reptile and amphibian enthusiasts! Herpetology Club will meet next Wednesday, February 6 in C111. New members are always welcome!

     

    Gamers Club will be held next Friday, February 8th from 3-5 in room C111.

     

    There will be a sign up meeting for the Girls Track and Field Team on Monday Feb. 4 right after school in Lecture Hall 1. Stop by and pick up information for the upcoming outdoor season.

    The Foreigner’s Home is a documentary film directed by Cinema Studies Program professors Rian Brown and Geoff Pingree that explores Toni Morrison’s artistic and intellectual vision through The Foreigner’s Home, her 2006 exhibition at the Louvre.

     

    We are lucky to have an Evening with Director Rian Brown who will be coming to Lakewood High School, Monday, February 4th from 5:30-7:00pm in the Civic.

    This Documentary raises the topic of Who is the foreigner? Am I the foreigner in my own home? Who decides? Such were the questions posed by renowned author Toni Morrison at her 2006 guest-curated exhibit at the Louvre, “The Foreigner’s Home”.
