Boys’ Basketball Regular Season Coming to an End

Boys Basketball Regular Season Coming to an End

On Friday, February 22nd the boys’ basketball team will play their last regular season game. After quite the victorious season, their last game will be at North Ridgeville. North Ridgeville’s current record is 11 wins and 10 loses and we have 15 wins and 6 loses.

The boys season has had its ups and downs, but they have never failed to pull out of their slump. The team started off by playing the boys down the street– Saint Edward’s. This game was a non-conference game, so was not valued as highly. Although our Rangers did not come out on top for the game, they played their hardest. After a first rough game, the strong and mighty boys started their winning streak by beating the next six teams: Amherst, Berea-Midpark, Olmsted Falls, Avon Lake, Massillon Washington, and North Olmsted. They then lost a super close game to Lutheran East with a final score of 40-43.

Now with a record of 6-2, the Rangers won against Avon and Westlake. They hit a bit of a rough patch as the Rangers lost to Midview, won against North Ridgeville, lost to Berea-Midpark and Olmsted Falls. We continued to win more of our conference games with only one additional lost against Avon.

Our boys have played with blood, sweat, and tears—some of the most hardworking young men you’ll ever meet.

Going into their last regular season game, the boys are predicted to win as they beat North Ridgeville the first time with a score of 65 to 37.

Tommy Sala, a senior starter on the team, stated, “We had our ups and downs throughout the season, but are excited for the last regular season game. Heading into the playoffs, we will most likely be playing Amherst or North Ridgeville again.”

Go out and support your hardworking Rangers as they head into playoffs– they deserve the support.
