    NBA 2019 Playoffs

    NBA+2019+Playoffs

It’s that time of the year for the NBA Playoffs. Every year, many people anticipate for their favorite teams to make it this far in each basketball season.

The NBA Playoffs are one of the most watched sporting events each year with millions of people watching each match to see who will make it to the championship following the conclusion of the playoffs.

The playoffs are a 7-way elimination tournament as 16 total teams compete in 1v1 matches in which the winner moves on to the next match until there are 2 teams left that compete for the championship.

After the Los Angeles Lakers signed former Cleveland Cavaliers star player LeBron James, they failed to make it to the playoffs, placing 10th in the Western Conference. The Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t fair well as they placed 14th in the Eastern Conference.

Currently, the playoffs are in Game 2 with matches taking place April 16th at 8:00PM between the Orlando Magic and the Toronto Raptors, 9:00PM between the San Antonio Spurs and the Denver Nuggets, 10:30PM between Oklahoma City Thunder and the Portland Trail Blazers, and continuing April 17th at 7:00PM between Indiana Pacers and the Boston Celtics, 8:00PM between the Detroit Pistons and the Milwaukee Bucks, and 9:30PM between the Utah Jazz and the Houston Rockets.

Currently, the odds are predicting that the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors will be the final title match-up in this year’s NBA finals.

LHS Boys’ Basketball Superstar Tommy Sala says: “I don’t follow the NBA Playoffs.”
