    Inga Whilhelmy

Inga Wilhelmy is a freshman at Lakewood High. Inga is well-known for her success in classes, her athletic ability, and her positivity towards her classmates, teachers, and peers. Inga plays Volleyball in the fall and Softball in the spring. In her free time, she likes to volunteer at GiGi’s Playhouse, along with drawing and painting. GiGi’s Playhouse is a place for kids with down syndrome to go to get a break from society and to just have fun. I asked Inga some questions and here is what she answered with:

Q: How has freshman year been so far for you?

A: “I have had a good year so far, and I am looking forward to spending 3 more years here.”

Q: How do you successfully balance school, GiGi’s Playhouse, and your art career?

A: “Being good at time management. That’s all, you just have to be able to be good with being aware of your time.”

Q: Why did you pick to play volleyball?

A: “I love the sport and it teaches how to learn from your mistakes and not to get down on yourself easily.”

Q: How did you find out about GiGi’s?

A: “I have family and friends that have down syndrome and have been there before and loved it there.”

    Q: What is your Gpa?

A: “4.33 as of the third quarter.”

Q: Have you got any awards for your school work or your art career?

A: “A national silver key, which is for my artwork, and best in show, which I also got for my artwork.”
