Close Look at the Indian’s Season

    Close+Look+at+the+Indians+Season

The weather is slowly getting warmer and you know what that means–baseball season. The Cleveland Indians kicked off their season against the Minnesota Twins. They then came back for their home opener on April 1st against the White Sox; they won their game 5-3.

So far this season, the team is 13-10 and are currently in second place in the American League Central. Against the Twins they were 1-2, 1-1 against the White Sox,  4-0 against the Toronto Blue Jays, 2-1 against the Tigers, 0-3 against the Royals, 3-0 against the Seattle Mariners, 2-1 against the Braves, and currently 1-1 against the Miami Marlins.

Even though the season has nearly just begun, the injuries list is very low–which we could not be more grateful for. Mike Clevinger does have an upper-back sprain which could cause him to be out for up to eight weeks. Also, as of April 23rd, Carlos Carrasco left the game early for knee pain; he is expected to return.

There is much more to look forward to this season as summer approaches: dollar dog nights, fireworks, kid club events, and much more.

Long time fan, Ted Powers, said, “I am very excited about this season. We have the capability to go far this year and I hope we do. Since we went to the playoff for the past 3 years, maybe we can make this year our victory of it all!”
