James Harden. There is no real way to describe the way this man plays basketball. James Harden is THE shooting guard on the Houston Rockets, and he plays in the NBA. He has been in the top 3 running for MVP (Most Valuable Player) for the third straight year. He won his first MVP award last year during the 2017-2018 NBA season. Last season he averaged 29.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 8.8 assists, and 1.8 steals over 72 games to secure the MVP trophy. Also led the Houston Rockets to a 65-17 and the best record in the NBA.

This season James Harden led the Houston Rockets to a 53-29 record while also dominating the offensive side of the basketball. He averaged 36.1 points(while shooting 44.2 % from the field and 36.8% from 3), 6.6 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 2 steals per game. This is the most points averaged since Michael Jordan’s 37 points per game in the 1987-1988 season. While most analytics argue against the way James Harden and the Houston Rockets play considering the mass volume of shots and the occasional inefficient nights from the team the team has proved most doubters wrong and are tied with the current defending champions Golden State Warriors in their series.

In the first game of the series he put up 35 points, while shooting 9-28 from the field and 4-16 from 3.  In game 2 he put up 29 points while shooting 9-19 from the field and 3-7 from 3. In game 3 that ended in OT he had dropped 41 points while shooting 14-32 from the field and 5-13 from 3. Also had hit the dagger to put the Golden State Warriors to bed for the night.
