    Seniors, the year is almost over.  Do you have a plan for after high school?  If you are doing any Post High School training programs or 2 to 4 year colleges, make sure you have applied and completed your Financial Aid Form.  Mrs. Sandoval in the CounselingOffice is only here a few more weeks.  Get in to see her so she can help you get everything done!

     

    Are you interested in cheering for football, basketball, or on the competition squad next school year?

    If so, tryouts will be held May 13-16th.

    Please stop by the LHS athletic office to pick up a tryout packet for specific times, locations, and paperwork beforehand.

     

    Attention Everyone!  Come to the Art Atrium today to celebrate the talented Senior Art Class of 2019!  You will see everything from painting to drawing to photography, and more!  Over 60 Seniors will be presenting their artwork from years past to today.  The Show is from 4 until 7PM with the awards being presented at 6:30pm.  See you all there!

     

    Seniors!  You’re in the home stretch, you only have a few days left to go!

    Stop in your house office to pick up your elementary school records.

    Note; not everyone will have records, depending upon where you attended elementary school.

     

    Sophomores that have been accepted into a West Shore program…TONIGHT’S THE NIGHT!

    Please go to the LHS cafeteria at 6:30 PM for the Orientation and ICE CREAM!! 

     

    Student Council elections are today and tomorrow, in the Bookroom lobby.

    You can vote tomorrow or Friday during your lunch period.

    You must have your student ID with you in order to vote.

    Gamers Club’s last meeting of the year is after school tomorrow in Lec. Hall 3! Get ready to party!

     

    Do you like helping people? Do you like blue crystal waters and soft white sand beaches? How about hiking ancient ruins and exploring new cultures?  Ever wanted to visit Cancun??  Well, then the Travel Club Spring trip for 2020 is perfect for you!!

    All interested participants should plan to attend an informational meeting, Monday, May 13that 6:30 pm in the Ranger Cafe!  Have questions, swing by C114 and see Mrs. Gliozzi!

    Seniors, only 9 days left, but who’s counting!!! Tomorrow is senior apparel day and senior recognition day.  So wear your prospective college, armed forces, or vocational wear.  Then there will be a recognition assembly during 3rdperiod. 

     

    The Lakewood Project would like to invite you “Into the Jungle” on Saturday, May 18that 7:30pm in the Lakewood Civic Auditorium.

    Take a walk on the wild side as we perform music by groups named after animals, or songs that have animals in the title.

    The Lakewood Project is committed to environmental causes, and therefore, a portion from each ticket sold will go towards building a butterfly garden here at Lakewood High School.

    Tickets are now available in the book room.

    Advance tickets are $3 for students and $8 for adults.

     

    Safe Jassani completed a sweep of the LHS Seinfeld Trivia Tournament with a 34-29 victory over Dr. G. 

    Safe is undefeated–4-0–in tournament action this year

     

    H2O is looking for volunteers to help Lakewood Community Services Center prep their gardens at Madison Park this Saturday, May 11thstarting at noon.  This garden will allow clients to grow fresh food all summer long! Please sign up at the H2O Office.

    There will be a boys and girls’ tennis meeting Thursday, May 16th, from 3:30-4:30 in Lecture Hall 1.
