One of the biggest issues occurring present day, is what is going on with our planet. The way our countries are taking “care” of the Earth is terrible. We have created problems that would make our children not even be able to experience a full life. We are doing things carelessly that are adding up.

Carbon dioxide levels have hit a level that has not been seen for 3 million years. Although with those rising levels there are more things even worse things occurring. GlobalChange.gov stated, “Many other aspects of global climate are changing as well. High temperature extremes and heavy precipitation events are increasing, glaciers and snow cover are shrinking, and sea ice is retreating.

Seas are warming, rising, and becoming more acidic, and flooding is become more frequent along the U.S. coastline. Growing seasons are longer, and large wildfires occur more frequently. Many species are moving to new locations, and changes in the seasonal timing of important biological events are occurring in response to climate change.”

Many people have started acting and speaking up about this topic, pushing for change. Leonardo DiCaprio being one huge messenger of climate change and our world, was appointed by the United Nations as one of the organizations Messengers of Peace. He had given a speech on the climate change and how it is affecting our world greatly multiple times. Pushing for action to be taken and help turning the effects of this around.

There are many ways we can help the Earth. Things within our communities, schools, households, etc, to help us clean our planet up. “If we don’t have everyone helping to save the only world we got, this will become the one war all of us are going to lose,” stated in the end of a video made by Avilay discussing the current state of our World.
