Lakewood City Schools had helped me grow as a person. I’ve spent 12 years getting up at 7 AM to go to school till 3 PM every day. Lakewood High School has brought me memories and friends that hopefully, I’ll have forever.

Lakewood High School has shaped me into the person I am today and changed my mindset on life. Lakewood High School has its flaws like all places and people, but I wouldn’t have wanted to spend 4 years of my life anywhere else.

There are a lot of memories that have occurred these past 4 years —  some in school, and some outside of school. The football games all throughout my 4 years here we’re some of the best memories. Especially my senior year because of being able to paint with all of my friends and being able to run into the stadium.

Some of the best classes I’ve taken have definitely been the art classes. Even if you can’t draw, there are so many other classes you can take at this school, and I managed to take every art class you didn’t have to draw in. The cooking classes they offer here are also a good way to meet friends.

The advice I have for future LHS students and the students who are here now, freshman year counts. The grades you get the first two years of high school will affect you more than you know in the end. Go to sporting events, try to join a sports team because those memories will stay with you forever.

After I graduate I will be attending Cleveland State University and I am going to study Criminal Justice/Criminology. I chose CSU because out of the schools I applied to, and got accepted it was the best program for what I wanted to study. I chose criminology because I’ve always wanted to help people in a way most don’t.
