My four years at Lakewood High have been some of the most eventful years of my life. From the moment I walked into the school in August 2015, I knew that my high school experience would be a good one.
A lot of my favorite memories really revolve around the social aspect of high school. If I hadn’t gone here, I likely wouldn’t have met many of my closest friends. Without my friends, high school honestly probably would’ve sucked. The classes I took and school events I went to played a huge role in me expanding my circle and opening up more.
If I were to give underclassmen any advice, it would be to put yourself out there and always be willing to try new things. Unsure about whether you should join a team or club? Just try it out. There’s no reason not to. Opening up and trying new things will make high school a great experience.
After I graduate I’m expecting to have the greatest summer of my life. When the summer ends, I’ll head to Columbus so I can attend the Ohio State University for the next 4-8 years. Since freshman year, Ohio State has been my number one option for college, so to be able to go there is a huge personal accomplishment. I’ll be at the Fisher College of Business and enjoying the whole college experience.
Going to Lakewood High School has helped shape me as a person. I learned a lot of lessons from here and met people who I would not have met otherwise. I’ll remember the last four years for the rest of my life.
