This past week and upcoming week, there has been a big concert and one big concert on its way. The concerts taking place in Lakewood, with many people attending. Last Saturday, May 18, 2019, the Lakewood Project had performed their concert. While there is an upcoming concert and the band “Sum 41: No Personal Space Tour” is playing in Lakewood.

The Lakewood Project was originally started in 2002. Being the world’s first high school rock orchestra. They had performed their concert on May 18. Starting at, 7:30 PM in the Civic Auditorium.

Lakewood Project’s mission is “to expand the musical horizons of the students,” which was asked by students to start. I asked Zearatus Perry what he loved about Lakewood Project and his thoughts on it as well. He stated, “Lakewood Project teaches you so much. The people in it also work very hard.”

The band, “Sum 41: No Personal Space Tour” is playing on May 24. They are playing 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM, at The Phantasy in Lakewood. However, looking at the tickets for this local concert…the tickets for this concert are sold out. This band even has an article written on the Rolling Stone, along with positive reviews on their performance.

Another thing that is occurring this week, is the final day for seniors. The high school seniors are now on their way to officially graduate. Ending school on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Graduation for the 2019 class is June 2, 2019. Graduation is being held in the Civic Auditorium. The new school year will be on its way, and the class of 2020 will become the new senior class.
