Lakewood High School has its own Cleveland Baron.

Gordi Myer plays hockey for the Cleveland Barons and is the captain for this elite hockey team. Myer lives in Toledo normally and attends Sylvania Northview High School.

This year he “billets” in Lakewood with another team member; “Billets” means that he is staying at another team member’s house and lives with them for the school year.

Myer and his team has traveled to Russia, Sweden, and Canada numerous times. He plays in the Tier 1 Elite League and they finished 9 th in the leauge and 22nd in the nation.

In the first week of March, the team will be in Indianapolis playing in districts. After districts, they should move on to play semi-finals, then finals in Pittsburg.

His team is confident that they can go far in the playoffs and win the remainder of their games.
