Food Drives Home

As the Lakewood High School Hope for the Holidays fundraiser wraps up, the Lakewood High students and faculty are making a mad dash for donations.

The first place class will win a pizza party, the winning teacher will get his or her name on a plaque that will be paced in the L-Room, but everybody that donates will get that “warm fuzzy feeling” that only comes from giving to those in need.

This feeling is spreading through the Lakewood High School student population. Madison Shelton, a junior, says, “I think it’s really great that Lakewood students can come together and raise money for a cause like this one.”

Not only is the money raised helping those families that need it this season, but also it is bringing the Lakewood community together.

The Lakewood Charitable Assistance Corp (LCAC) will be responsible for the distribution of the will ultimately help numerous local families this holiday season.
