Courtney Moran is  on the varsity volleyball team. She played JV her sophomore year and lettered her junior year. She is number 26 on the court, but number 1 in my heart.

She has been playing volleyball since 4th grade and that is when she fell in love with the sport. She is primarily a back row player. She has had many digs this season and in past seasons.

A dig is when a player passes up a hit from the opposing team. Moran especially passed well at the game last night against North Olmsted in 3-1 win. Moran had great passes up to the setter Hannah Marek.

“Courtney is a perfectionist and stays very focused,”says senior Syeann Turner. She was a key point to their win. The team worked well together last night leading them to a victory. Moran also plays varsity softball and has been playing since 6th grade. But she did play t-ball.

She is a great athlete and this why she is the featured athlete.
