We’ve all heard the infamous question asked by our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers, etc., “What do you want to be when you’re older?”

This question could be answered with all different job fields, obviously. It all depends on your interests, your strengths and even your weaknesses. It’s very easy for you to help someone. It’s a human instinct and everyone has done it before.

Let’s say Billy dropped his books. What would be the first basic instinct? To help him pick them up. Did you know, the main purpose of a teacher’s job is to help students learn? Teachers are the foundation of all learning, and in order to do that, they need to help you.

If you are interested in working in the education field, such as being a teacher, the new Lakewood High School club, Educators Rising is perfect for you! Educators Rising’s motto is, “There’s power in teaching.” Like we’ve all heard before, with power comes responsibility. Teachers are responsible for what we learn, how we learn it, and achieving students’ education goals.

At Educators Rising, we get a basic introduction into behind-the-scenes of a teacher’s life. Planning lessons, following through with the lessons, and closing the lessons, is a basic fundamental process for teachers. In this club, we will create different projects and hear real stories from all different kinds of educators.

It’s a great opportunity and an even better experience! Join Lakewood High School’s Educators Rising!
