    This is a reminder to the students that have chromebooks. When not in use, the chromebook should be in its case. If you have a chromebook that needs to be repaired, the bookroom will not accept it if it is not in its case.

     

    If you are interested in wrestling this year please stop by the athletic office to pick up a practice schedule. You can also pick up participation forms & practice schedules at Franklin Elementary School this Sunday at open mat 1:00-4:00pm. The first day of official practice is Friday, November 11, 2016.

     

    Lakewood Dance Group Clinics will be held tomorrow & Wednesday, tryouts are this Thursday, October 27th.

     

    Attention Seniors – Prestige Photography will be here at LHS this Wednesday, October 26th from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM to take free senior portraits for the 2017 LHS Cinema. A signup sheet is located on the wall outside Mr. Ebner’s room (B207).

    If you have not or do not plan on going to the studio for a photography session, please sign up. This will be the only opportunity for in-school pictures.

     

    There will be a meeting immediately after school today in A107/A109 for girls interested in playing basketball this year.  Forms and other important information will be distributed in preparation for the upcoming tryouts on October 28th & 29th.

     

     

    Attention students:  Are you struggling in your biology class?  Well, Biology study tables known as the Biology Bench starts tomorrow at 3:00 in room A319.  Come with questions, snacks will be provided.  Talk to your biology teacher for more details.

     

     

    This Thursday, October 27th, Club Identity will be sponsoring the premiere of the film “Love Is All You Need.” The film examines what might happen if being gay was the norm and heterosexuals were the minority. Join us on Thursday, October 27th in the Civic Auditorium at 7pm for the film viewing and a special discussion panel afterwards with the filmmaking team and cast members. Admission is free for ALL students with a valid student ID and $5 for adults. All money raised will benefit the local nonprofit organization Dare2Care.

     

    Thursday, October 27th is the LHS Mock Election. Students will be voting during social studies classes for the offices of President, US Senate and US House of Representatives in district 9. Youth Leadership Initiative is the largest student mock election in the US and LHS students will be participating alongside thousands of students from around the country. Results will be announced on Monday, October 31st.

     

    Chick-Fil-A representatives will be at LHS with Scholarships & Job Opportunities this Friday at 10:24am in the Guidance Office room A111.

     

    Congratulations to the inaugural corn hole tournament winners! Alex Shell and Seth Trower took first place, George Hericks and Jordan Schultz took second place. Both teams please see Ms. Johnson in B305 tomorrow to pick up your gift cards.
