    Are you interested in running Track? Then the Indoor Girls Track & Field Team is for you! Use these next few winter months to get stronger, run faster and throw farther in preparation for the upcoming outdoor season. Stop by the sign-up meeting today at 3:00pm in Lec. Hall 1.

     

    Do you like to help others? If you said “yes”, then Medical Office Management needs your help. We are collecting nail polish, nail files, and nail polish remover to benefit University Hospital’s Hospice Program today thru November 30th. The class will be preparing nail polish kits for hospice patients. Please bring your donations to Room A201.

     

    There will be a Dance Group meeting for all members, this Wednesday in Lecture Hall 1 at 3:30 pm.

     

    Have you ever dreamed of walking the ancient streets of Rome? The opportunity for you is around the corner. If you are interested is visiting Rome over Spring break stop into the art department and we can tell you how to make this dream a reality. There are only 2 spots left so don’t delay.

     

    We know you have a hidden talent! It could be poetry, music, or prose, but acoustic talent only. Barnstormers and the Orchestra programs are presenting the second “Coffee house” on Nov. 10th for you to show off your hidden talent! This unique performance opportunity will have you and the audience on the Civic stage. No admission charge! The Barnstormers will be selling coffee and baked goods. No audition, Just Signup on the sheet outside the Civic doors!

     

    This year’s Light Up Lakewood Festival will be held on Saturday, December 3rd. As part of lakewoodalive’s commitment to fostering & sustaining vibrant neighborhoods, we partner w/Plantation Home to provide two $500.00 scholarships to Lakewood residents who are currently high school juniors. Application forms for this scholarship are available in the Bookroom. Applications must be emailed or postmarked by November 11, 2016.

     

    Attention students and faculty:

    Join Club Identity and Barnstormers for our annual dinner and a movie today at 3:15 in lec. hall 2. We will be watching “The Celluloid Closet,” a documentary film that examines the portrayal of gays and lesbians in cinema, and we will follow up with a discussion afterwards. Pizza and other refreshments will be provided. Hope to see you there!

    Tap into your creativity using choreography, filmmaking, literature, music composition, photography, and/or visual art to show us YOUR story!

    Pick up your PTA Reflections Entry Form today! Available in any of the house offices or the bookroom. Entries are due to the Main Office, by Tuesday, November 29th.

    If you are interested in wrestling this year please stop by the athletic office to pick up a practice schedule. The first day of official practice is this Friday, November 11, 2016.

     

    The second round of pink out shirts have arrived. If you’ve pre-ordered a pink out shirt, you may come up to the bookroom to pick it up.

     

    Powder Puff participation forms are now available in the bookroom. Please have the waiver portion of the form signed and return that, along with payment for the T-shirt to the bookroom.

     

    Attention boys’ basketball players, practice tonight is as follows:

    Varsity & JV – 3:30pm at Roosevelt, that’s 3:30pm at Roosevelt. Enter off of Bayes.

    Freshman – 3:45pm at Harrison Elementary, that’s Harrison Elementary at 3:45pm.
