    Beauty+and+the+Beast

The newly released movie “Beauty and the Beast” hit theaters on March 17, 2017. So far, it has passed “Iron Man 3” and “Batman VS Superman” in box office debut. It pulled in a 178.8 million dollars. Its debut is the sixth largest ever. It also had the largest opening for a PG-rated movie, passing prior record holder Finding Dory’s $135 million debut. It is 2 hours and 9 minutes long! But do not let that intimidate you to not watch it, it appears to be a great movie for all ages!

The movie starring Emma Watson as “Belle”, and Dan Stevens as “Beast”. It tells the story of a young prince and his castle’s servants fall under the spell of a witch, who turns him into the hideous Beast until he learns to love and be loved in return. The headstrong village girl Belle enters the Beast’s castle after he imprisons her father Maurice. With the help of his enchanted servants, including the matronly Mrs. Potts, and Belle begins to draw the cold-hearted Beast out of his isolation. It is one of the few Disney princess movies to become adapted from its animated version to a motion picture movie.

Many reviews have said that they were hesitant and skeptical Disney remaking one for their classic Disney princesses, although they were pleased after watching the trailer, and then eventually the movie. However, some were displeased with the film. They claimed the   adaptation wasn’t true to the original, and was disappointed in the re-make.

So if you want to be entertained with a good film, then Beauty and the Beast is the one to watch!
