March 27th— UCLA star point guard and NBA Draft Prospect, Lonzo Ball seems to be getting the big spotlight around the sports world currently.  What also is getting much attention is his father, Lavar Ball.

Currently and also during the start of the NCAA basketball tournament, Lavar has been grabbing a lot of attention from the media because of his outrageous comments. These comments include him claiming he would “kill” Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player of all-time,  in a one-on-one matchup. He also has made comments about his kids being set up for a better future than those of NBA stars’ kids such as LeBron James’ own.

Lebron and many other stars have been shooting back at Lavar Ball’s ridiculous comments. Lebron in an interview was notified about what Lavar had said about James and his family and he harshly responded,”Keep my kids’ name out of your mouth. Keep my family out of your mouth. This is dad to dad. It’s a problem now.”

Other outrageous comments were made by Lavar Ball claiming that his son, Lonzo will be as good as NBA legend, Magic Johnson. “Lonzo was Magic with a jump shot,” Lavar said. “What I mean by that is everybody wants to play with him. They tried to compare him to Jason Kidd, but if you look at it, he’s more like Penny Hardaway with his size, length and style.”

Even with all these comments made by Lavar Ball, people say he is simply just supporting and having great confidence in his son like a good, supporting father would do. In the mean time, with UCLA getting knocked off in the NCAA Tournament, Lonzo will be looking to train hard during this offseason to be ready come draft day.
