Make dinner a selfless act by joining the LHS 2017 After Prom Committee for a fundraiser at the Lakewood Chipotle tomorrow between 5:00 PM & 9:00 PM. Bring the flyer, or show it on your smartphone or just tell the cashier that you are supporting the cause to make sure that 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the LHS After Prom Committee.
Flags clinics will be held today thru Thursday, with tryouts on Friday. Clinics are at Garfield Middle School gym from 4-6pm each day.
A $500 scholarship is available to any senior majoring in education next year at the college level. Please apply and tell us about what inspires you to become an educator! The Lakewood Leadership Team is able to accept applications (available online, in the guidance office and on the LHS web page) until Friday, April 28th.
Have you figured out what mode of transportation you will be using to get to the Prom at the Botanical Garden? Prom is only a few weeks away. We have a Free, no extra cost to you, shuttle bus that will pick you up at Garfield and drop you off at the Botanical Garden and then bring you back to Garfield after the prom…and, the After Prom is at Garfield, so how convenient is that?!?! We have field trip forms that need to be signed up in the bookroom.

Giant shout out to the Kick It teams for a very successful fundraising campaign for pediatric cancer research. The title for LHS kickball champions of 2017 goes to Team Nate & Hanna! The One Kick Wonders took 2nd and the Average Joes placed 3rd. Donations are still coming in so fundraising results will be available soon. Thanks so much to LHS students and staff for your support.
