    LaNiqua+Jones

The person of the week is LaNiqua Jones. She is a junior at Lakewood High School. LaNiqua  is a very outgoing and fun-loving student. She currently has a 3.0 GPA. LaNiqua use to do football cheerleading but did not do basketball cheerleading to focus more on school. She is the leader of race and diversity club. I got the chance to ask her a few questions during her study hall.

Q: What’s your favorite class at Lakewood High School? Why?

A: “Definitely Human Rights and Conflict. Mainly because Mr. Lobozzo is a good teacher and the contents of his class were very eye-opening.”

Q: What’s your favorite part about junior year so far?

A: “The fact that I don’t have to take so many state tests this year!”

Q: Who is your favorite teacher at Lakewood High School?

A: “This one’s a hard one but Mr. Lobozzo because he is just a very laid back teacher but he also taught me very crucial things that I needed to know.”

Q: What’s your favorite memory from LHS so far?

A: “My sophomore year we took a field trip down to see the Cleveland Orchestra play the violins of hope and it was just very cool to see. We got to see these very old instruments that survived the Holocaust and we got to hear some traditional jewish music.”

Q: What are your plans for after high school?

A: “My goal is to go to Xavier University and double major in poly sci and pre law and minor in criminology, psychology and sociology.”
