This week’s Athlete of the week is David Facaros! David is a sophomore at Lakewood High School and plays baseball. David is a third basemen for Lakewood’s Junior Varsity team. Occasionally he also pitches.

David has also gotten the opportunity to start and play in 2 varsity games this year. He has played baseball both freshmen and sophomore year at Lakewood and hopes to continue for the rest of his high school years.

The Junior Varsity team’s record is at 6 wins with 12 loses. The last game the Rangers played, they ended up losing a tough battle to the Midview Middies 8 runs to 4.

Now I asked David some questions so we can get to know him a little bit better.

I hope to have a winning record next year.

What are you most excited for the most next year?

Who is your favorite teacher and why?

Mr Rinehart is my favorite teacher because he is easy on homework.

What is your favorite thing about baseball?

I like everything about the sport. Hitting, fielding, and my teammates but my favorite thing is getting to play under the lights on friday nights.

Who is your favorite baseball player?

My favorite player is Francisco Lindor. Go Indians!!
