Nine. Nine school days left of senior year. In nine days, the seniors will sit in their last class, turn in their last highschool paper, and walk in the halls of Lakewood High for the last time.
For some seniors this had just hit them, other have been dreading this moment all year. Never again will they park in the mods, and walk across the street to the school with their friends. Never again will they cheer on their friends at high school sports games. Never again will they sit in the cafeteria with their best friends, talking about the latest gossip. Never again.
In twenty-three days the Lakewood High School Senior Class of 2017 will walk across the stage for the final time. As the move the purple and gold tassel from right to left, they mark the end of their highschool career. Closing a major chapter of their life, to open a new one. A new chapter on their own. A chapter filled with new experiences, and new beginnings.
Congratulations to the class of 2017, you guys did it. After four years of stress, fun, pressure, and lessons you guys have successfully completed high school. Some may be continuing on to college, going into the armed forces, or taking an off-year.
