WWDC 2017 – What To Expect

    WWDC+2017+-+What+To+Expect

Annually, tech geeks and Apple fanboys alike go to a conference hosted by Apple known as the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) to see the newest generation of Apple products and services. In Recent years, it has been held in San Francisco, however this year it is hosted at the McEnery Convention Centre in San Jose, California. Taking place June 5th through the 9th,  there is a lot to hope for this year. Many may recall last years WWDC, with iOS 10 and MacOS Sierra being announced as well as the iPhone 7 and newest iPad series.

For starters, it is worth mentioning that none of this is guaranteed to be announced at WWDC 2017 or this year, however they are highly anticipated features or releases that are likely to arrive this year. First on the list of things we are expecting is iOS 11. There is a lot of speculation as to what sort of things could go into this update, wether it be visual (like from iOS 6 to iOS 7) or just minor aesthetics (like from iOS 9 to 10), but whatever is in store will be worth waiting for. Secondly, there is expected to be a new generation of iPad, Apple Watch and iPhone. Third, Siri is said to get major updates to improve user quality. There is speculation of a freestanding smart speaker coming, like the Amazon Echo, that will feature Siri and a small screen. Lastly, it is highly likely that a new macOS, watchOS, and tvOS will be released.

We won’t know for sure how long it will be until these features and updates will be released, but that’s just the point. We have no idea what exactly will be announced and we can only speculate. Until June 5th, it’ll just be rumors and speculation. Come WWDC, the truth will be revealed. For more info, click here.
